You will no doubt be aware of the new RICS home survey standard that is set to become mandatory for surveyors in June 2020. The proposed changes aim to better protect buyers, and sellers, by making sure they fully understand the importance and benefits of commissioning a home survey and making it simpler for consumers to understand what is checked, the different surveys on offer and the level of service delivered by RICS members. The aim is to ensure consistency in the types of survey offered necessitated by a changing market place, updated technology and consumer needs.
It is proposed to run a series of one day events across the country to ensure you are fully up to speed with planned timetables and the implications for you on a day to day basis
The speakers include Tom Littler who sits on the RICS Home Surveys Standards Working Group and the RICS Survey & Valuation Working Group; and Philip Santo who is also well known to most of you.
