SUMMARY:WEBINAR - Red book update and market uncertainty
DESCRIPTION:Red book update and market uncertainty\nDate: Wednesday 20 January 2021 \nTime: 1800 \nPrice: £10 plus VAT (£12) or £120 plus VAT (£144) for the webicard which entitles you to attend the entire programme at no additional cost \nOnline via zoom \nA talk from Paul Batho \nPaul Batho is a chartered surveyor specialising in the valuation\, investment and finance of commercial property. His career has combined professional work with teaching and lecturing. After a degree in geography at Oxford University he qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1981 and worked for 20 years in consultancy in the City of London\, specialising in valuation and investment advice to the banking and financial services sector. From 2001-2009 he was Director of Studies at the College of Estate Management in Reading. He was Chief Executive of NARA (the Association of Property and Fixed Charge Receivers) from 2009–15 and Programme Director for the IPF/University of Cambridge Diploma in Property Investment from 2010 – 16. \nPaul has had an active involvement with RICS for many years. He was a member of the UK Education Standards Board from 2006-13 and was closely involved in accrediting university courses for RICS in Europe and the USA. He has subsequently authored a number of RICS guidance notes on valuation topics and is currently working on a series of international guides to the RICS Red Book. \nSummary \nThe latest updates to the RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book Global) come into force on 31st January 2020. The main reason for issuing the update is to take account of the changes to the International Valuation Standards (IVS) – which the Red Book Global adopts and applies. However\, the opportunity has been taken to make some other changes and refinements to the Red Book Global in the light of experience and developments since the current edition was issued in June 2017. Paul will also focus on valuation during the continued market uncertainty \nPlease book below or send me an email to alison@cpdessentials.co.uk \n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will be sent the link to join via zoom the day before
