SUMMARY:Get ready for March 1st - the RICS home survey standard
DESCRIPTION:You will no doubt be aware of the new RICS home survey standard which was due to become mandatory for surveyors in June 2020. Due to COVID-19 it will now come into force on the 1 March 2021. The proposed changes aim to better protect buyers\, and sellers\, by making sure they fully understand the importance and benefits of commissioning a home survey and making it simpler for consumers to understand what is checked\, the different surveys on offer and the level of service delivered by RICS members. The aim is to ensure consistency in the types of survey offered necessitated by a changing market place\, updated technology and consumer needs. \nThis half day event is a follow up to the roadshows held across the UK between December and February last year\, contains different information and will update you on the latest thinking. There will be more emphasis on the process of the correct survey level being offered by surveyors\, particularly in light of the Hart v Large case. The HSS expects that the surveyor will advise the client/ enquirer of the levels offered by that firm\, and how they may be appropriate for the property itself\, and the client’s needs. \nThere is additional RICS material. This includes T&Cs\, vendor questionnaire and equipment list which will all be referred to \nThe speakers include Tom Littler who sits on the RICS Home Surveys Standards Working Group and the RICS Survey & Valuation Working Group; and Philip Santo who is also well known to most of you. \nThe event will focus on the following: \n[custom_list style=”list-1″] \n\nIntroduction and latest developments\nApplying the standard prior to inspection\nApplying the standard during inspection\nApplying the standard to reporting\nImpact of  the Hart v Large case\n\n[/custom_list] \nThe cost of the event is £65.00 plus VAT (£78) to include seminar proceedings and a delegate pack. \nIt is recommended you read the new standard prior to attendance \nPlease book online below or call Alison on 07429 523183 \nalison@cpdessentials.co.uk  \n

SUMMARY:The new RICS home survey standard\, Pontefract Racecourse
DESCRIPTION: “I would like to commend you on your excellent organisation of the day and the choice of venue for the workshop. Please pass on my thanks to Philip and Tom who made one of the best presentations I have experienced on what could have been\, a very dry and boring subject.”  Steve Mika \nYou will no doubt be aware of the new RICS home survey standard that is set to become mandatory for surveyors in June 2020. \nIt is proposed to run a series of one day events across the country to ensure you are fully up to speed with planned timetables and the implications for you on a day to day basis \nThe speakers include Tom Littler who sits on the RICS Home Surveys Standards Working Group and the RICS Survey & Valuation Working Group; and Philip Santo who is also well known to most of you. \nThe event will focus on the following: \n[custom_list style=”list-1″] \n\nTerms and conditions and limitations of inspection\nRecording the information – new technologies available\nEquipment available\nKnowledge of the geographical area and the type of property to be inspected – showing sufficient knowledge\nProducing the report – best practice\, using plain english\nPractical exercises\n\n[/custom_list] \nThe cost of the event is £120 plus VAT (£144) to include seminar proceedings\, all refreshments\, lunch and a delegate pack. \nThe hss booking form is available here or you can book online below \n

SUMMARY:The new RICS home survey standard\, Haydock Park Golf Club
DESCRIPTION: “I would like to commend you on your excellent organisation of the day and the choice of venue for the workshop. Please pass on my thanks to Philip and Tom who made one of the best presentations I have experienced on what could have been\, a very dry and boring subject.”  Steve Mika \nYou will no doubt be aware of the new RICS home survey standard that is set to become mandatory for surveyors in June 2020.
